It is an immense source of joy for the Dominican Priestly Fraternities of the Province of St. Albert the Great, USA, that one of its members, Fr. Christopher (Henry Dominic) Seiler, a member of the Chapter of St. Vincent Ferrer, has received assignation in July this year to Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe for his first posting in the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See.
Fr. Seiler was ordained for the Archdiocese of St. Louis on 25 May 2013. He was admitted in the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic on 11 September 2016 in St. Louis, and subsequently made profession on 6 September 2017 before the Prior Provincial, fr. James Marchionda, OP.
He spent four years in Rome attending the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy for the purpose of preparing, through a course of special studies, for the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He likewise obtained a Doctorate in Canon Law in the process. When Fr. Seiler was preparing to leave St. Louis for his new assignment, the St. Louis Review ran an article, which can be accessed here.
