SWITZERLAND | Swiss Province formally erects a Fraternity of Priests

Fr. Guido Vergauwen, OP, Prior Provincial, receives the solemn promise of the priests

The Swiss Province formally erected the Dominican Priestly Fraternity of St. Catherine of Siena on the feast itself of the patroness, 29 April 2018. It coincided with the rite of profession of the pioneer members: Fr. Nicolas Tousch of the Archdiocese of Strasbourg (F); Fr. Jacques Papaux of the Diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg (CH); and Fr. Lionel Girard of the Diocese of Sion (CH). The Prior Provincial, fr. Guido Vergauwen, OP, presided over the rite within Vespers at the convent of St. Hyacinth in Fribourg, together with the friars and their Prior, fr. Jean-Michel Poffet, OP.
